Derrick Richard Roberston

Derrick R. Robertson, age 49, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 2:40 pm Monday, March 18, 2024, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Allen Clark will officiate.  Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

Visitation celebrating Derrick's life will be held at 1:00 pm until time of the service at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Derrick was born on November 21, 1974, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Donnie E. Robertson and Joy S. Maple.

He was united in marriage to Jennifer D. Dashley on September 16. 2006 in Palmyra, MO. She survives.

Derrick is survived by four beautiful children, Audra R. Robertson, Brodie D. Robertson and Ezmae L. Robertson all from Hannibal, Kylie Usher of Palmyra, MO,  his father, Donnie E. Robertson and Jacqueline I. Robertson (2nd mother) of Hannibal, MO, his sisters, Angie Rucker (Andy) of Barry, IL, Tiffany Epperson (Adam) of Frankford, MO, Allyson Webb (Charlie) of Palmyra, MO and Ashley Robertson (Brett Goodwin) of Palmyra, MO

Also surviving is his grandmother, Marguerite Darley of Hannibal, MO, aunts, Debbie Francis of Hunnewell, MO, Donna Daniels of Palmyra, MO, Kitty Hager (John) of Dover, MO, Cookie West (Ben) of Palmyra, MO, Teresa Huffman of Hannibal, MO, uncle, Dwayne Maple (Kay) of Hannibal, MO and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Derrick was preceded in death by his mother, Joy S. Maple, grandfather, Leo W. Darley, Sr., grandfather Donald C. Robertson and grandmother, Loraine M. Robertson.

Derrick was known for his love of hunting, fishing, and a passion for cooking.  He could cook anything and make concoctions that always turned out great.  He loved playing softball and watching football despite not having a favorite team.  More than anything, he loved his family and children dearly.

Derrick was a Christian by faith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brodie Robertson, Ethan Rucker, Zachary Rucker, Luke Rucker and Donnie Robertson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
